Focus On Your Day

1. This is your Microsoft To Do app interface. First, you may notice a message that says “Focus on your Day”. If it is the start of your week or your day, you might have a lot of random tasks on your mind that you would like to add to your list. By using this function, you are able to highlight your planned tasks for the day and focus on them.

Mange your Tasks

1. To create your list of tasks, go to “Tasks” on the left and you will be directed to this page. Start adding your tasks by typing them one by one on the bottom. Click “Enter” to submit your tasks. Once you have hit enter, a new task will be added to your list.

2. After you have inserted your tasks, you may click on the specific task to edit its details.

3. Here you will see an option that says “Add to My Day”.  By clicking on this, the specific task will automatically add to your daily tasks under “My day” for you to focus on.

4. Then, you may further set details to the task. For example, first, you may set a reminder to your task. If you would like the to do app to notify you about your task, click on “Remind Me” to set a reminder. You may select the default date and time or pick your own. Remember to click “Save” to save your settings.

5.Next, set a due date. Again, you may select the default dates or pick your own.

6. If this is a recurring task, you can also select “Repeat” to set how you may repeat the task. It could be daily, weekdays, monthly or even yearly. You can also customize the recurring pattern.

7. Lastly, if your task contains supplemental attachments, you may click on file and then select an attachment from your file explorer.

Highlight your Tasks for the Day

1. All your daily tasks will be highlighted under my day. To add a new daily task, type your task on add a task and then press enter to submit.

Mark your Tasks as Important

1. If you have clicked on the “Star” button to the right of each task, the task will be marked as important and will be shown here.

View All your Planned Tasks

1. Under “planned”, all planned tasks are categorized by due dates so you can track your progress from here. For example, my tasks are categorized as due by today, this coming Thursday or next week.

View Tasks Assigned to you

1. With Microsoft planner integration, all tasks assigned to you on Microsoft Planner will be shown here.

Manage All of your Tasks

1. Lastly we have “Tasks”, where we can plan all your tasks here.

Create New To Do Lists

1. To create a new to do list, click on “New List” to create and rename one. You may click on “New List” to create as many lists as you wish. Then you may go back to all of your planned task and drag and drop the corresponding task to your new list.

Create Tasks From your Flagged Emails

1. On the bottom left, you may click “Create” if you would like to create a list of tasks from your flagged emails on Microsoft Outlook. This is a Microsoft Outlook integration and all data will be synchronized. After clicking create, a new option “Flagged email” will be added to your left navigation bar.

2. Then, on your Microsoft Outlook mailbox, flag the email that you would like to remind yourself to follow up later.

3. When we switch back to the to do app, you can see that the flagged email has already been added as a new task under “Flagged Email”.

Mark your Tasks as Completed

1. Once you have completed your task, click on the tick icon on the left to mark your task as completed and cross It out – just like how you would do on your to do lists.
